Problem of the Week
There will be a new problem of the week every week. Here is the problem of the week.
(x^4 - x^3 + x^2) * 24 / x = 10,944
Solve for x.
Write your answer in the comments. I'm going to write a hint. First do 10,944/24.
Here's a link to a website about math: math.com.

This is a tough one. I wonder if anyone will be able to figure it out.
your blog is very long and it has a lot of writing
Tristan,
this is a tough question. Do you have any more hints?
There will be no hints until Thursday.
there are two solutions to your equation:
x=o
x=8
can you find the value of the following product:
(x-a)*(x-b)*(x-c)*....(x-y)*(x-z)
where a,b,c,d,....y,z are the 26 letters of the alphabet.

your mommy solve this one at about your age
Even though I have not played with this kind of math in a very long time, I had a lot of fun trying to solve your problem. I found x = x - 1, which if of course an impossibility. Is this also silly ?.. Love, Grandma
